The flight from Incheon Airport to LAX takes roughly 11 hours, and about an hour and a half after takeoff, there is usually a stretch of intense turbulence. Checking the flight monitor during these moments, I often saw the plane flying over the ocean, having just passed Japan. I assumed this turbulence occurred where the continent ends and the vast ocean begins. As a child, I often worried during these turbulent moments, wondering, "What if the plane crashes?" or "What if we fall into the ocean and go missing?"

I was particularly fascinated by the underwater trenches displayed on the flight monitor, especially the Mariana Trench, which stood out as the deepest and darkest spot. This mysterious feature of the ocean captured my imagination from a young age. While the Mariana Trench doesn't come to my mind daily, it takes on a strong presence every time I fly, a vast, unknown realm. I often imagine what it would be like to descend from the sky to that mysterious depth.

So now we are about to embark on a journey deep into the Mariana Trench. This aircraft will travel at supersonic speed to depths of up to 10,000 meters underwater. Due to the immense pressure, you may experience physical reactions, so please take caution. Additionally, please be aware that the signal may be lost due to the distance. Wishing you a safe journey!
